If you can't tell from the first picture, I'm sure you can tell from the second...., We're roasting Peeps, the delightful Easter treat. They actually aren't bad. The sugar coating gives the marshmallow a thin, crisp shell when heated. 
If you cook them a bit too long the thin, crisp shell which was initially yummy, turns to a caramelized, rock-hard, nasty piece of yuck. It's a fine line between the yummy treat and yuck.

nope, have never thought about that... but that would make sense now wouldn't it...I like peeps dried out and hard,,,weird?
