The day after we got to Grandma and Grandpa's house, we made the trek to Huatulco.., the beach. We had heard the road was horribly curvy and up and down through the mountains..., but I seriously had no idea. It took 7 hours with 1 stop! Yes..., you read right!
You may think that Maya is sitting on her grandma's lap while we are driving....., or you may think that Mason is standing between his grandpa and dad while we are driving...., well..., you'd be right. Seat belts are apparently optional in Mexico. Our hotel was beautiful. Our room was right on the first floor so we could walk right out to the pool. Grandma and Grandpa were right next door to us.., so Mason could walk over there as well. Do you love the how the side of the hotel is just an unfinished mess with re-bar sticking out of it??? Well.., apprently that's how they leave things in Mexico..., you know.., jsut in case you ever want to add on.The view from our room was gorgeous. Dan describes Huatulco as 'where the jungle meets the ocean' and he's so right. The pool had a huge section of kids area so mason could walk around in it. Mason aws fearless and went face first with out mom and dad near him a few times.., 3 to be exact.
Maya and Grandpa hanging out poolside.
We put the kids to bed and then went for a swim in the pool while we watched the sun set. It was SO nice.
Huatulco was beautiful. It was a complete resort town with out the tourists. We would go back in a heart beat.

Huatulco has separate 7 beaches that could not be accessed from beach to beach due to the jungle and cliffs. You would park at a parking lot and be greeted by a waiter. Yes..,a waiter. They would basically help you park and then guide you into their restaurant. Our waiter in leading ht eway with Grandpa
All the beaches have restaurants set up on them. You'd leave all your stuff there.., eat.., and then come and go to the water as you pleased. It was a pretty nice set up.
