Kennecot Copper Mines

 

I've never been to Kennecott Copper Mines.  The month of May the had free admission and so we loaded up the kiddos for a field trip.  First of all, I had no idea it was SO far out there!!!  45 minutes from our house!  The kids did great on the way out there..., but were pretty tired and ornery on the way home.  

 

Did you know Kennecott is one of man made structures visible from Outer Space!?!?!  How cool is that! The kids thought it was cool to see the ginormous trucks.

 

 

Maya enjoyed pressing the button to hear the automated story of the mines.  She'd push a different button and then go sit on the bench to listen to it.  She's so cute!

The Bike Car Wash

First of all..., my husband ROCKS!!!  I find this cool things on Pinterest and some how he ends up making them!  Love him for that.., amoung numerous other things!!! We had a BBQ last weekend and had the opening of the Kid's Bike Car Wash.  All the kids brought their bikes and bathing suits.  They had a blast.  I so wish I had something like this when i was a kid!

 Can't wait to use this all summer long!

Preschool Graduation

 

 Our little Mason graduated from preschool!  He is SO excited to start kindergarten in the fall.  It all seems like it's going by too fast for me!  I started tearing up during his kindergarten orientation a few weeks back.  Mason who was sitting on my lap saw me and said, 'Mom! Stop it right now!'. Poor kid!  I think I embarrassed him.  Oh well.., it'll be the first of many embarrassing things I do to him I'm sure!

 His class had a little music number and Mason sang all the songs at the top of his lungs!

 Poor little Maya had a rough day and did not want to participate.  She hung out with dad during the presentation.

Mason and his best buddy Bjorn.  It's so sad that Bjorn wont be starting school this fall with Mason.  Though they are the same class at church, Bjorn has a fall birthday, missing the registration deadline.
