Jackson Hole - JULY 2011

We were lucky enough to head up to Jackson Hole this summer for 5 days while my sister and her fam were in town.  My nephew Ethan was attending the summer band camp at Jackson High School.  Apparently it's a good one???  Who knew???
Hike up around Teton Lake.  I'm sad I didn't bring the kiddos swim suits to the lake cause the water actually wasn't too bad.
Maya playing with Ethan while waiting for to see his final performance.
Ethan and his side kick for 2 weeks.  mason ADORES this guy.

K.., how cool does my nephew look???  They night before this he played with the Jackson Hole Community Orchestra and then this day he was playing rock and roll that was actually REALLY good!  He's one talented guy!
Maya dancing to the beat.
The Jackson Hole Arts Fair.

Do they look worn out???  Cause they are!

This was the highlight of the trip!

I love that they are on their knees playing like they are puppies...., they do this ALL the time.
Cousin Meredith and Ethan.  They kiddos LOVED having older cousins dote on them!

Beside lack of sleep..., it was a great trip!  We LOVE Jackson Hole!

Pudding Painting Party

I've been wanting to do this one all summer long.  Mason and Maya had friends over for a Pudding and Cool Whip Painting Party.  Bathing suits only was the required dress code.  It took them all a bit to get the idea. I think they thought we were all crazy for telling them to touch the pudding and then even crazier for telling them to paint themselves with the pudding.
Maya got into tasting each flavor.
Mason was the first to put it on his body, followed quickly by his buddy Bjorn.
I did the dots on Maya's hand and she wasn't quite sure what to think of that one.

I love that genuine smile on Maya's face!   My kiddos still talk about this day and it was over a month ago now!

The best was the easy clean up..,  a garden hose on you and it's all good!
Pizza, Cheetos, grapes and Crystal Light for lunch.
A little splashing in the water by the younger guests.  They'll join us next year!

These pictures of the kids in goggles kill me.
This was SUCH a fun day and will be a definite part of our summer traditions from here on out.  I can't tell you how much a I enjoy doing things like this with my kiddos!  Even at their craziest times my kiddos are the folks I wake up for each morning and the reason behind my smile.  They make me want to be a better mom and to keep striving for perfection.  They are what makes my life great!

Fishing with the boys!

One of the highlights of Mason's summer was fishing with his Dad and Papa.

The only sad part was..., no one caught anything.

Antelope Island

Is summer REALLY over???  It has flown by for our family.....,  filled with lots of house guests, family trips and outings.  One of which was to Antelope Island for the day.  I had been mountain biking out here years ago, but had no idea how much more there was to see.  This outside of the Visitor Center.
 Awww.., how cute are they???
 We saw LOTS of bison.
 VERY close bison too!
This is Grandpa Noble getting a little too close for my comfort.
The Fielding Garr Ranch was really cool.  Lots of things for the kids to touch, play with and see.
Learning the in's and out's of lassoing
A museum where you can sit on the artifacts???  Unheard of!  Not on Antelope Island though!
And the best ride was the golf cart back to the cars!  The kids thought it was Disneyland!?!?!
