A full Sunday!

For those of you with children, you will understand the significance of this. Yesterday, our little family not only made it through 3 hours of church..., but we also made it through our entire sacrament meeting with neither of us walking out with a screaming boy. I figured Mason's only 10 1/2 months...., that's not too bad of a record.., is it? I did leave quickly to refill his sippy cup..., but no one was screaming when i left or returned..., so I'm still counting the Sunday as our first!

Thanks!

I just want to give a big THANKS to all my cute friends, family and neighbors who helped make my birthday special. It was a hard one this year and all your thoughtfulness meant more than you know. As many of you know I was born on my Mom's birthday, June 2nd. I grew up thinking my birthday was the best day of the year. I got to stay home from school each year. My mom and I would make each other cakes, go to lunch and then get our hair cut. In the evening, my dad would plan huge BBQ's with family and friends at the beach or at our home. He also would get my mom and I matching shirts to wear.., I loved this when I was little..., it seemed to lose it's charm a bit as I got older. It was the best day and I always ended it feeling like a princess. Even as an adult, I would always make sure I was home in New Hampshire with my mom to celebrate our 'special' day together. Though some of the details of the day changed, it was always huge event. The only birthday I missed with her was when I was on my mission. With my mom not with me these days, birthday's have changed quite a bit. This year was a hard day for me and through the thoughtfulness of family and friends, it was much easier. My husband is also incredible, patience and understanding. Did I mention he got me diamond earrings? I feel so overwhelmed by the love, care and friendship I felt yesterday. I appreciate all the cards, textes, emails, phone calls, etc. It all meant so much. THANK YOU! My life truly would not be complete with out my good friends and family.

Strut Your Mutt

Last Saturday was the annual Strut Your Mutt in Sugarhouse Park. Though Dan and I have been going for years, this was Mason's first walk. We had the Van Leeuwen's and the Bishop's with their cute dogs join us this year.

Being Mason's first year, I made he and his dad matching Kava shirts. Mason loved his and wore it proudly!.
It was a beautiful day and we loved being outside.
