THANKSGIVING 2010

We had a fabulous Thanksgiving with the some of the other O's.
We watched cartoons on Grandma's bed.
Ate lots of yummy, yummy food.
 Ate some more.....,
 .....,  and ate some more.
Grandma and Grandpa were all smiles with most of the family around.
Watched more cartoons on Grandma's bed.
Some clothes came off in the basement.....,
..., then other clothes came on.
Mason loved playing with his girl cousins.  This will be some good blackmail in a few more years!
 We chatted lots....,
..., and ended the day with more clothes off than on.

2 of Everything!!!!

Maya is a step behind Mason all day long. She wants to be doing what ever he is doing. I'm started buy 2 of everything...., it just makes makes life easier to do so. I was at Target last week and grabbed a light saber in their Halloween costume section marked down. I thought it would be great for Mason for Christmas...., but what was I thinking?!?! I only bought 1!!!! I grabbed step stools for my short people at Hobby Lobby for $4 a piece.., and actually remembered to garb 2 of them. They were half off this past week. Love that store! I did a quick sand, paint and distressing and Voila!
Do you think I need to suck it up and buy another light saber at full price in the toy section???

They do this ALL day long!

I love that my kiddos are started to not only really play with each other..., but they are enjoying each other as well. Okay.., Maya has always LOVED Mason..., so I guess it's just Mason learning to enjoy his little sister.

Pumpkin Patch

I can't believe I forgot about this.  We had the best afternoon at Peterson's Pumpkin Patch.  They had free tractor rides and a free mini corn maze...., and the pumpkins were fairly reasonable.  The kids had a blast picking out their own pumkins.

Mardi Gras with the O Fam

We still have Utah Pride!!!!

Despite the embarrassing loss to TCU and now to Notre Dame, we're still heart Utah! Thanks to grandma and grandpa Wehrli, the whole fam was decked out for the black out game. And yes.., both kids have no pants on. Pants are optional at our house!

End of the Harvest

We had a horrible tomato crop this past summer. Our tomato plants were HUGE with a zillion tomatoes on them.., but mostly green all summer long. I didn't want to through away all the greenies when I pulled out my garden, so on to the counter tops they went.., to sit til they turned red. The result was great.., lots of cherry red, yummy tomatoes. I was done with canning and didn't want them to go to waste and so oven-dried tomatoes it was! How pretty do these guys look?!?!?! And how yummy do these guys look!?!?! Mmmmm..., I can't wait to have them with some pasta or something this winter.

Oh How we LOVE Halloween!!!!

Happy Halloween! I know it's a bit late, but we had a bit of technically difficulties getting the photos on to my computer. Trick or Treating was a bit of a disappointment this year. We planned to go to our neighborhood Trunk or Treat, but it was rainy and cold, so we did the grandparents house and Aunt Ruth's house instead. Our kids are still young enough not to care too much.., i mean.., as long as they had candy, they were happy. Thankfully we had planned little Halloween party at our house on Halloween Day so we could still enjoy the holiday. Mason was Superman and Maya was a Dragon. She had a GREAT 'rooaaar' but refused to do it when she was actually in her costume. Dan and I were some sort of 70's creation..., what ever we could fine in the costume box. Mason trying out his flying skills. We kept it simple.., chili in the kitchen.., The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown DVD playing in the family room..., and games in the garage. The girls caught on fast to the doughnut on a string game. ..., and they were HILARIOUS with these doughnuts ..., especially my sweet toothed girl. I'm pretty sure she ate 3 herselfWe had caramel apples......, popcorn balls.
....., and frost your own sugar cookies.
Hands down this was Mason's favorite. This was his end result. We had so much fun and can't wait til next year!!!
