Maya's 1st Birthday Party

Maya celebrated he first birthday with lots of family! She was thrilled to see her cousins and aunts and uncles. She laughed and clapped and I wanted to squeeze her she was so cute and excited about all her guests. We had cake....., ...., and cupcakes.....,

Maya thought her cake was the yummiest ever.

We opened presents....,

..., with Mason's help of course.

Daddy made Maya a cradle and Mommy made bedding that matched her crib.Mommy made Maya some scary dolls. They were cuter in my mind. My mother in-law swears we can make them cute with just embroidering a smile and little nose on. them We'll see.

And Auntie Michele and Auntie Renee got Maya the fat-daddy of all strollers. Mason LOVES it and wheels it all around the house. He can't quite grasp that this cool thing with wheel couldn't actually be his???

At first glance, you may think this looks like an accident..., but when I have a little boy with an ear to ear grin grab a stool so he can reach the fan to turn it on and then pushes his balloon into the moving fan so it gets caught up while laughing hysterically..., I know it's no accident!

I really haven't done much with Miss Maya's bedroom besides paint, curtains and a throw rug. I found these wall stickers at the Dollar Store. I liked how it turned out..., unfortunately.., so did Maya. She quickly proceeded to peel each and ever one off during her nap time and with in 3 days they were all gone. Oh well..., it looked nice for a day or so..., and hey..., it was only a $1! The circles around the top of her wall, however, are a bit too high for her to peel off (for now anyway), so they will stay. I do like them. My sister teases me and says she feel dirty walking into the Dollar Store, but I tell you..., I LOVE the Dollar Store!!! So bring your antibacterial gel and go check out the Dollar Store!

He wanted 'juevos' and apparently couldn't use his words to ask his dear mother for help in getting the 'juevos'! Thank goodness I love you Mason!

Preschool Preformance

Mason had his first school performance for Valentine's Day and was he was scared to death! Poor kid! I really didn't expect that from our little out going kiddo. He sat on my lap on the floor until his friend Lauren arrived and then I transferred his death-clutch to her. He held her hand for pretty much the first half of the performance and didn't move. At one point I thought he was going to burst into tears. I was smiling and giving him thumbs up in the back with all the other parents and he just sat there staring at me like I was crazy.Lauren was incredibly patient with Mason and sang the majority of the songs one-handed! I love that she takes care of him and watches out for him.., and mostly.., that she is patient with him.After a dozen songs or so he finally warmed up and sang the last few songs with his class. It ended with a little social and lunch for the kids and parents.

It was a pretty cute performance! I hope the next one isn't so painful for our little guy!
