Thanksgiving 2012

Thanksgiving at Grandma and Grandpa O's.  Their entire crew was there minus one...., 7 kids and their families in one home.  Crazy but fun!
My kiddos were in heaven with the Idaho O's..., they love to play with these kids.
Just part of the crew.
The basement had lots of coloring and silly thanksgiving games.

I love that even the big kids got into it.
Cousin Norah did so great with all whole crowd.  What a cute, well behavior 2 year old!  She had no problem jumping into what was going on.
My little cutie loves cutting.  Thankfully she just likes to cut paper..., and hopefully we're past the hair cutting stage.

Do these boys look 17 months apart?  Mason idolizes his cousin Gage
And these two cuties.., can't get enough of them!
It was beautiful and we even walked to the park nearby.  Such a fun Thanksgiving.

HALLOWEEN!

With Thanksgiving quickly approaching.., I need to get this post in!
We LOVE Halloween!  It's such a fun time of year!  We were crazy busy trying to get in all in.  We went to Gardner Village to see their witches display.  We do that every year, but we've never taken a  hay ride to the witches houses before and let me tel you.., this it s must!  The kids LOVED it.

This is Mildew Rose, one of the witches and also my old college roomie.  I love her!  She's hysterical and the kids about feel over when she started calling them by name!  Maya kept saying.., 'mom, she must be a witch cause she knows our names.'  Way to freak out the kids!

Please notice the 'SASS' of my daughter in these photos.  I can't seem to get a photo these days with out her posing

She cracks me up!  Both kiddos picked out their costumes early on and there was no deviated from their plans.  Maya was also insisted that not only would she be 'Ariel in the fish costume and not the princess costume'.., but she also HAD to have the red wig as well.

Witches broom sticks and witches hats
 Rice krispie Frankensteins
The Rod's were Fred and Daphene
We had the best turn out for donut on a string game.

We had a balance beam over scary Halloween things like spiders, bats and snakes.

Can you imagine teaching this group of hoodlums in primary???
 Dean and Tiffany
The Bishops.  Scott's costume was hysterical!  I'm adamant that adults dress up and so he did! Loved it!
The O fam in full costume.  Maya wanted us to go all out..., make up and all.., so why not?!?!
 Ang and Hunter (Diego)
The Larsen's.  I couldn't stop laughing at them all night.
There were Halloween books to flip through in the corner.  Halloween coloring pages to to color in one section.  A Halloween movie on the TV and the night ended with a Halloween pinata.  The kids had parties at school as well.  We went to trunk or treat at the church on the actual day of Halloween.  And when November hit.., boy were we tired!!!!  Can't wait for Turkey Day!!!

4th of July

Yes, I realize it's September!  Like I said..., we've really enjoyed our summer and who wants to be inside blogging when there's fun to be had?  I love the Fourth or as Maya refers to it, 'American Day'.  I love that we have family and friends at our home off and on all day.  It's relaxing and fun.  We eat yummy food.., chat.., and of course have a fabulous firework display.  We started our day off with the tradition neighborhood pancake breakfast and bike parade.

We could barely get the kiddos off their bikes to eat.
Lining up for the fireworks.  I just wanted a good one of all three...., how about a good one of each of them in three different photos?  I guess that will have to do for now.
Mason thinks he's big enough to help.., and Dan apparently does too.  Mason helps throw a few of the snakes in the road.  We didn't head to Wyoming this year for the goods.  Instead I found a fairly good groupon for the fireworks.  The fireworks did however come with scantily clad women adorning the packages?!?!  Are you kidding me??? I guess they need to advertise where ever they can???

Grandma and Grandpa Werhi's had a zillion.., no joke.., a zillion light sticks for all the kiddos. How did we get so lucky to have such great neighbors?  The kids danced.., jumped and ran all about with the glow sticks.

Mason made connected a few dozen.

Do you think they had fun?  Like I said.., I LOVE the 4th!  I love that my family does too!  Hope every one had a 'Happy American Day!'
