Mason's Birthday Party.

We spent Mason's special day up at Jordanelle Reservoir with family ad a few friends. We had great weather and the day turned out to be super fun. Mason loved the tube this year and we went much faster than last year.
Aunt Danette, Lauren, Mom and Mason. The Maya and Isabelle napped in the tent....,
...., while Mason napped on the boat with his mom holding up his head! The Bishop Clan.
Mason loved digging in the dirt. Mason and Hannah
Lauren and Mason.
We grilled burgers and hot dogs for the crew on Dan's new portable grill. It's a Coleman and it rocks. I think it has more BTU than our grill at home!
Presents were opened after lunch. Mom and Dad got Mason the cars crew.., pretty much all the big ones from the movie and he LOVED them. He lines them up on the coffee table at home. He's so cute.
Mom made a Lightening McQueen cake. It was neat till the sun got it and it started to melt.

We love our family! It was a fun day and a fun way to celebrate our little guys birth!

Maiden Voyage 2009

It's July.., in fact the end of July and we just barely got our boat in the water for the first time this year. We went up to Jordanelle for a test run before Mason's big day since we were planning on boating with the fam for his special day.
The kids did SO well on the boat. Mason was night and day better from last year and even didn't mind his life jacket too much. Maya.., well.., she' always just happy to be there. We had breakfast on the boat while Maya took a nap..., we drove around the lake to scout out of place for the following day and then packed it up and went home.
It was quick but nice morning.

Happy 2nd Birthday Mason!

You hear moms say this over and over..,but I have no idea where the time has gone. It seems like just yesterday we were meeting our little guy. I remember so clearly the day he was born and here we are 2 years later and he's gone from our quite baby boy to our super-loud whirl wind.

With Mason turning the momentous second year, I thought I would give you all few 2's in his life.

2 of my favorite Mason memories: 1. The day he was born. The air conditioner had broken at the old Cottonwood Hospital so they called us to come in early so we could quote, 'get this baby out before it got too hot'. We thought for sure it was a joke..., but nope. Mason came out screaming and healthy as a horse. and 2. the day before Maya was born. We took Mason to Jungle Jim's to do something fun with him before his life changed forever. He HATED it. It was a great night!

2 of Mason's favorite things: 1. his 'oso' and 2. his cars

2 of Mason's favorite foods: 1. chicken - He screams 'CHICKEN' every time he sees a Wendy's or fast food establishment..., no joke and 2. candy - every day he will ask for 'candy' and every day, I say something along the lines of, 'later' or 'after breakfast' and he then proceed to fling himself onto the kitchen floor. If I walk away, he follows me and will fling himself at my feet again. It's a fun game.

2 of Mason's common phrases: 1. 'hand'- he asks this in hopes we will give him our hand and he can pull us to where every his little heart desires and 2. 'thank you, mamma' - he says thank you with out fail. I hope it never wears off.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY BOY! WE LOVE YOU!

Oaxaca Mexico Temple

Most of you know how Dan's folks are serving are temple president in the Oaxaca Mexico Temple. During our last visit we went during one of the temple closings. During this time the temple is closed and cleaning is down from top to bottom. We were able to go to the top of the temple. Since we had little Mason with us we entered through the back door into the boiler room and heading up some stairs there.

It was kind of neat to see the behind the scenes of the temple.
