Our Little Artist

Thanks to pre-school, Mason has developed a new love of coloring. We color every day and he loves it. I have lots or different coloring books for him and also a few giant ones that he enjoys. Any time he asks to color..., I let him. So.., I'm not sure how things like this have started happening?!?!?!I didn't find this piece of art til I was getting him into the bath. Love it! I cleaned it off and it was mysteriously there the following day as well!?!?! I can't seem to hid all the pens in the house well enough! He's also branched out and tried coloring on Maya's face. He saw face painting at the Scarecrow Festival and I guess wanted to try his hand at it!?!?! And this is just a cute picture of my good girl, who doesn't draw on things she's not suppose to...,well.., for now anyway!!!!

It's always the lil' one who is the good one..... Until the lil one becomes big enough that the bigger ones now think to blame the lil one because it's "possible"!

Maya is ablsolutley an angel! I'm pretty sure she will stay clear of walls and art work ... you can just tell these things sometimes. :)

I hope everything you have bought for Mason is Crayola Washables,,, I would be in big trouble if I didn't have the washable paint, crayons, and markers around these parts. Don't ya just love when they learn to love something like coloring. Keeps them busy, and they get to use their brains and motor skills. (I sound like a pre-school teacher or something)

Ahhh, yes, now new joys of parenting are kicking in, yeah? LOVE it! Ever tell ya about the time Connor "decorated" my couch with a sharpie? And I let out a big sigh of relief as I stripped the cover off the couch and hid the sharpies? And then a week later found the Exact SAME design, (lovely waves) in sharpie no less, on my actual couch? Yeah, good times :)

Oh, I sure don't like the writing on the walls phase. Do you remember seeing Meredith when she covered herself head-to-toe with purple paint and said she was Barney? Precious!
