I Scream, You Scream, We ALLScream for Ice Cream!
Mason and his deer ears can hear the ice cream truck from miles away. We walked 2 blocks to finally track him down. How could you not think this naked girl is just adorable????
I just LOVE summer and the fact that we can eat messy things outside and then hose the kids down! And after water and soap was used..., Mason's body and hands were still stained from his ice cream? I'm sure the dye they use isn't toxic or harmful!?!?!

Meet Phoebe!
The newest addition to our little family. Phoebe is a Great Dane puppy. Her coloring is called blue.., even though her coat is gray.., she looks blue in the sun. She is super tiny still.., only 7 1/2 weeks. She's topping the scales at about 12 lbs! It's hard to believe she'll be a 100+ lb dog! I'll admit.., I was a bit nervous about getting another big dog.., but after having Phoebe in our home and seeing her with the kids..., I know she'll be another good family dog.
As a side note..., my poor Chloe.., she really is not a big fan of Phoebe! Poor old girl wants nothing to do with the youthful pup. Phoebe will follow her all over the back yard.., wagging her tails and jumping behind her. Chloe does wag her tails at times with her..., but mostly just likes to find a quite hiding place from her. Thankfully for Chloe, Phoebe will be spending most of her time in her crate til she's house broken. Hopefully by then, Phoebe we be a bit calmer so my old girl can handle her

Really Son???
Last summer, none of my strawberries made it in the house. Mason would pick and eat them at the first sign of redness. This summer..., we've already had countless talks about how the strawberries have to COMPLETELY red before he can pick them. I'm not sure he quite remembers those conversation as clearly as I do??? He was SO proud of his find this morning! Which of course was quickly chased away by the sour taste of the unripened strawberry. Oh well.., he'll learn..., eventually I hope!
I do love that he gets so excited to help me in the garden.

Finger Up date
I am thrilled to say that after 6 weeks in a cast / splint thingy-do, Mason's finger is doing more than great! Not only has his finger healed, but his nail is actually growing back! The plastic surgeon was even shocked to see that at the last appointment. I've been praying constantly for his finger nail to grow back. So, though I'm sure the doctor's skills in reattaching his nail bed played a part in it all, I like to think it was the Momma's prayers that sealed the deal. I understand 'it's just a pinkie nail' and it didn't seem like a big deal to most.., but I just wanted my baby boy to have all the parts of his body he started with..., and thankfully he will! Doesn't it amaze you how the human body heal itself?!?! It does me..., after seeing Maon's finger the day of the accident, I would have never thought it would look even half as good as it does now!

The Sanding is DONE!!!!!
The sanding is DONE and I am more than thrilled!!!!
With the sanding in the addition, came this fine, fine, white dust that I was CONSTANTLY cleaning up! Here's a few shots to give you all a sense of what we've been living through these last few months.
